First off this product is very good for its size. The best surface i have found is a window, but it works great on many surfaces. Very loud if need be and its built in battery works great. Would buy again, and may get for my tech head friends for x-mas!

This thing is AWESOME!! I love it I put it on a table and sat on it and you could feal the vibrations! It is so fun to play with and see what sound each surface makes. Maybe a little overpriced but still payable!

I received this as a gift and have to say that depending on the type surface you place it on, the sound quality varies quite a bit!
It is well built and I like the USB charging capability but besides the surface requirement, anotherr drawback is that when you plug in the audio cable, the unit powers on. This can be considered a nice feature in that you do not have a seperate power on/off button, but, if you forget to pull out the cable, the unit stays on and drains the battery.

A gel speaker that expands sound on any surface? Definitely a cool feature, BUT get over it. The quality of the sound and convenience are supposed to be the real reasons for buying the thing. After the fascination wears off that you can walk around the room using all kinds of surfaces as a speaker. A great conversation piece. BUT who will continue to do that? I was heading out for a vacation with my girl to Tahiti. When we travel we usually have to drag along our BOSE iPod doc which sounds good but weighs a ton. This time I just brought my new WOWee One along. Besides saving a ton of room, the sound was pretty darned solid. In most cases, we just dropped it on the desk in our room and all of a sudden the room would fill up with sound.
